Премьер-министр Латвии Лаймдота Страуюма в понедельник, 7 декабря объявила о том, что правительство страны уходит в отставку, сообщает Delfi.lv.

Президент Раймонд Вейонис принял отставку правительства. Слухи о возможной отставке нынешнего правительства Латвии циркулировали в стране после того, как премьер-министр отправил в отставку своего однопартийца, министра связи Анрийса Матисса.

Впрочем, в официальных комментариях высокопоставленные политики очень уклончиво говорили о возможной смене правительства.

"Всем правительствам рано или поздно приходит конец. Когда он наступит, я вас всех об этом проинформирую", – говорила Страуюма.

Ожидалось также, что Страуюма может объявить об отставке во время конгресса правящей партии "Единство", который прошел в субботу, однако этого не произошло.
