Президент Петро Порошенко підписав закон "Про внесення зміни до Кримінального кодексу України щодо правила складання покарань та зарахування строку попереднього ув'язнення".

Про це повідомляє в суботу прес-служба президента.

Законом, прийнятим Верховною Радою 18 травня цього року, пропонується викласти в новій редакції частину п'яту статті 72 "Правила складання покарань та зарахування строку попереднього ув'язнення" Кримінального кодексу України, відповідно до якої попереднє ув'язнення зараховується судом у строк покарання у разі засудження до позбавлення волі день за день або за правилами, передбаченими у частині першій цієї статті.

Згідно закону при призначенні покарань, не зазначених в частині першій цієї статті, суд, враховуючи попереднє ув'язнення, може пом'якшити покарання або повністю звільнити засудженого від його відбування.

Закон набирає чинності з дня, наступного за днем його опублікування.

Як відомо, 23 грудня 2015 року президент Петро Порошенко підписав так званий "закон Савченко".

Це перший законопроект, внесений депутатом тоді ще "Батьківщини" Надією Савченко.
