Перед виступом президента Петра Порошенка в університеті міста Лейден представник цього закладу пожартував над гостем, показавши присутнім шоколад з фабрики Порошенка.

Президент сприйняв це з гумором і порадив голландцям "не забувати про шоколад", повідомляє "Європейська правда".

Українського гостя представив один з керівників університету - декан юридичного факультету Рік Волсон.

"Ми розуміємо, що ви керуєте величезною країною, де живе 44 мільйони людей, країною з великою історією і країною, яка наразі переживає драматичні події.

Але також на вас – велика відповідальність з постачання нам шоколаду.

Один з моїх колег був в Україні і привіз дещо до Лейдена, і це – єдиний шматок, який залишився. Тому на вас, ваша високоповажносте, багато сфер відповідальності", - з посмішкою сказав голландський науковець. Зала також зустріла цей пасаж сміхом.

Петро Порошенко наприкінці свого виступу повернувся до шоколадної теми.

Вже після того, як він завершив промову, та коли стихли аплодисменти, він підняв плитку шоколаду, яку залишив декан, та сказав: "І не забувайте про шоколад!", знову викликавши сміх у залі
