Цивільна гвардія Іспанії у четвер вилучила на складі в місті Ігуалада від 2,5 до 3 млн бюлетенів, призначених для голосування на референдумі про незалежність Каталонії 1 жовтня.

Про це повідомляє Європейська правда із посиланням на  El Pais.

Крім того, правоохоронці виявили і конфіскували понад 100 урн для голосування з логотипом футбольного клубу "Барселона". Пізніше стало відомо, що ці скриньки використовувалися під час виборів у 2015 році.

Також на шляху до Ігуалади були перехоплені і вилучені близько 6 мільйонів конвертів для референдуму.

Раніше поліція вже вилучала декілька мільйонів бюлетенів і обладнання для голосування, чим поставила проведення референдуму під питання.

Такими діями правоохоронці виконують наказ уряду Іспанії і прокуратури Каталонії щодо запобігання проведенню голосування, яке Мадрид називає незаконним.

Нагадаємо, уряд Каталонії заявив, що спробує забезпечити мирне проведення референдуму про незалежність від Іспанії, попри суворі заходи національного уряду Іспанії.
