Регламентний комітет Верховної Ради України передав спікеру Володимиру Гройсману подання генерального прокурора на згоду українського парламенту про притягнення до кримінальної відповідальності позафракційного народного депутата України Сергія Клюєва.

Члени комітету визнали подання законним, але не змогли визначитися, чи воно є достатньо обґрунтованим через брак доказів від ГПУ.

До подання долучили окрему думку депутатів від фракції «Народний фронт» Світлани Войцеховської й Ірини Єфремової про винесення подання на розгляд сесійної зали парламенту.

Клюєв назвав це рішення об’єктивним і висловив сподівання що Гройсман поверне це подання до прокуратури.

Віктор Шокін повідомив 12 травня, що Генпрокуратура підозрює у скоєнні кримінальних злочинів двох народних депутатів і внесла до Верховної Ради подання про зняття з них недоторканності. За його словами, йдеться про Сергія Клюєва і Сергія Мельничука. Генеральна прокуратура просить парламент дати згоду на притягнення їх до кримінальної відповідальності.
