Руководство журнала Playboy признало ошибкой отказ от публикации полностью обнаженных девушек и вернуло этот формат, говорится всообщении издания. Как отметил креативный директор издания Купер Хэфнер, прежняя концепция журнала, согласно которой изображались голые девушки, действительно устарела, но Playboy не должен был полностью лишаться наготы.

Г-н Купер занимает пост главного креативного директора издания с октября 2016 года.

Первый (мартовско-апрельский) номер Playboy в новом формате доступен с 13 февраля. Продвижение выпуска сопровождается хэштегом «Быть голым – это нормально».

Первый выпуск после смены концепции вышел в марта 2016 года, тогда на обложке оказалась модель Сара Макдэниэл.

Последний выпуск Playboy с эротической обложкой вышел в январе-феврале 2016 года, на обложке присутствовала Памела Андерсон.

Представители Playboy объявили об отказе от публикации снимков полностью обнаженных девушек в середине октября 2015 года, причиной этого стало желание руководства получить рейтинг PG-13 (для детей от 13 лет) и тем самым увеличить число рекламодателей. При этом вместо откровенных фотографий должны были появиться колонки о сексе и журналистские расследования.
