Філіппінці оцінили перші 90 днів президентства Родріго Дутерте, відомого жорстокою боротьбою з наркоторгівлею в країні та зухвальною поведінкою щодо західних лідерів. Так, опитування показало, що народ оцінює Дутерте на "дуже добре", передає ТСН

Тільки 11% з 1200 філіппінців, опитаних агентством Social Weather Stations (SWS) заявили, що вони не задоволені тим, як їхній президент виконує свої обов'язки.  Загалом діяльністю Дутерте задоволені 64% опитаних.

Це навіть кращий показник, ніж той, який мали його попередники — Бенігно Акіно (2010—2016), Глорія Макапагал Арройо (2001—2010) та Джозеф Естрада (2008—2001). Однак, більше схвалення від населення до Дутерте мав лише Фідель Рамос (1992—1998) з результатом 66%. Між іншим, 13% так і не визначилися, чи задоволені вони виконанням Дутерте своїх службових обов'язків. Варто відзначити, що опитування не вимагало від респондентів доведення своєї думки.

Опитування провели наприкінці вересня після того, як Дутерте "посварився" з Бараком Обамою, президентом США, через боротьбу з наркотиками на Філіппінах, а також до того, як Дутерте заявив про пошуки нових зв'язків з Китаєм та Росією. Інше опитування, проведене агентством Pulse Asia за місяць після того, як Дутерте обійняв посаду президента, показало, що рівень довіри громадян до нього становить 91%.
