Платіжна компанія PayPal Holdings Inc зупиняє всі послуги в Росії через її війну проти України і приєднується до десятків інших брендів, що бойкотують агресора.

Про це повідомляє Reuters з посиланням на заяву компанії.

"За нинішніх обставин ми призупиняємо послуги PayPal в Росії", - заявив президент і виконавчий директор Ден Шульман. Він додав, що компанія "підтримує міжнародне співтовариство в засудженні військової агресії Росії проти Україні".

Представник компанії сказав, що PayPal дозволятиме зняття коштів "протягом певного періоду часу, забезпечуючи розподіл залишків на рахунку відповідно до чинних законів і правил".

PayPal, який дозволяв лише транскордонні транзакції користувачам у Росії, припинив приймати нових користувачів у країні в середу. 

Призупинення PayPal в Росії також стосується її інструменту переказу грошей Xoom. Раніше конкуренти Wise і Remitly призупинили деякі послуги в Росії.
