Техгігант PayPal веде перемовини з соціальною мережею Pinterest щодо придбання за 40 млрд доларів.

Про це повідомляє Bloomberg з посиланням на власні джерела.

Так, йдеться про викуп компанії за ціною 70 доларів за акцію. Якщо брати публічні акції Pinterest класу А, сума угоди становитиме близько 39 млрд доларів.

Водночас якщо врахувати непублічні акції класу В, вартість угоди сягає 45 млрд доларів.

Акції Pinterest у Нью-Йорку після повідомлення злетіли на 19% і сягнули позначки у 66 доларів. Натомість акції PayPal впали на 3.3%, чим призвели до капіталізації у 309 млрд доларів.

Bloomberg зазначає, що Pinterest наразі проходить через складний період у зв’язку зі звільненням співзасновника компанії Евана Шарпа. Він опікувався дизайном компанії та продуктовою командою. Крім того, низка колишніх співробітниць звинувачують компанію у дискримінації щодо жінок.

Pinterest стала публічною у 2019 році та стартувала з капіталізацією у 10 млрд доларів.
