Парламент Шотландії може накласти вето на рішення щодо виходу Великої Британії з ЄС.

Про це заявила перший міністр Шотландії Нікола Стерджен в інтерв'юВВС.

Водночас, вона наголосила, що таке рішення може бути прийняте лише в тому випадку, якщо це питання буде винесене урядом Британії на законодавчий рівень.

Втім, Стерджен визнала, що такі вірогідність є досить малоймовірною.

"Дивлячись на це з логічної точки зору, мені важко повірити, що буде такий запит (щодо законодавчого розгляду - Ред.). Я підозрюю, що уряд Великої Британії застосує зовсім інший підхід", - підкреслила вона.

Нагадаємо, Стерджен заявила про те, що Шотландія прагне залишитися частиною ЄС. У Шотландії 67,2% виборців проголосували за те, щоб Британія залишилась в ЄС.

Як відомо, на референдумі 2014 року на підтримку незалежності Шотландії проголосували лише 45% виборців, а проти – 55%.
