Конституційний суд у Мадриді відхилив спільний позов правлячої іспанської Народної партії, Соціалістичної партії Каталонії і каталонського ліберального руху "Громадяни", які вимагали визнати голосування в парламенті Каталонії про відокремлення від Іспанії неконституційним.

Про це повідомляє Укрінформ із посиланням на El Pais. 

"Суд підкреслив, що однією з засад демократичної системи є дебати, а парламент - звичне місце для їх проведення. В кінцевому підсумку, результат парламентських дебатів не слід заздалегідь визначити, як саму життєздатність дискусії", - йдеться у повідомленні.

Дебати і голосування про відділення від Іспанії намічені на 9 листопада.

Як відомо, коаліція каталонських сепаратистів перемогла 27 вересня на виборах уБарселоні, отримавши 62 з 135 місць у регіональному парламенті. Ще 10 місць отримала дружня цьому блоку радикально ліва партія "Кандидати народної єдності". Тоді сепаратисти пообіцяли домогтися незалежності протягом вісімнадцяти місяців.
