Большинство парламентариев Хорватии – 91 депутат — подписали решение о самороспуске Сабора (парламента), которое вступит в силу 15 июля, передает РИА Новости
Спикер Сабора Желько Райнер поставил вопрос о самороспуске парламента в повестку дня в 12.00 (13.00) мск. Альтернативой самороспуску могло стать голосование о переформировании правительства. У правящей партии Хорватское демократическое содружество (ХДС) был готов кандидат на пост главы нового кабмина. Однако вице-премьер и лидер движения МОСТ Божо Петров заявил еще в четверг, что переформирование правительства Хорватии после отставки премьер-министра Тихомира Орешковича не может быть реализовано.
Ранее МОСТ собрал подписи своих сторонников в парламенте для роспуска Сабора и назначения новых выборов в случае, если глава правительства уйдет в отставку. Петров подчеркнул, что ХДС «не хватит рук в Саборе, чтобы проголосовать за переформирование правительства» без нового всенародного волеизъявления». В новых парламентских выборах была заинтересована и крупнейшая оппозиционная Социал-демократическая партия Хорватии. Президент Хорватии Колинда Грабар-Китарович заявляла, что в случае решения о проведении новых выборов она назначит дату в сентябре.
Политический кризис начал развиваться в Хорватии с победой на выборах в ноябре 2015 года ХДС во главе с Томиславом Карамарко. Партия и представленные ей члены правительства многократно подвергалась критике за правые взгляды со стороны оппозиции и антифашистских организаций. Организованная ХДС отставка премьера Орешковича не нашла поддержки у второй силы в правящей коалиции — политического движения МОСТ. Вице-премьер и лидер движения МОСТ Божо Петров ранее потребовал от самого Карамарко добровольно уйти в отставку из-за непрекращающихся скандалов, вызванных бизнес-связями его супруги Аны с лоббистами иностранных компаний, крайне правыми взглядами членов правительства из рядов ХДС и срывом всеохватывающей реформы образования, который привел к акции протеста в Загребе с рекордными 40 тысячами участников.
