Правящие в Австралии консерваторы одержали победу на прошедших неделю назад парламентских выборах, и таким образом лидер Либеральной партии Малкольм Тернбулл сохранит за собой кресло премьера. Сообщает Русская служба Би-би-си

Подсчет голосов еще продолжается, но общий итог выборов стал ясен после того, как в воскресенье днем лидер оппозиционной Лейбористской партии Билл Шортен признал поражение и поздравил с победой Тернбулла.

Судя по последним данным избиркомов, результаты голосования позволят сохранить коалиционное правительство в нынешнем виде.

Победа Малкольма Тернбулла предсказывалась экспертами, но в итоге оказалась совсем не столь убедительной, как ожидалось.

Для проведения через парламент важных решений, в первую очередь по бюджету, консерваторам придется искать поддержку среди независимых депутатов и представителей мелких партий.
