Кандидатуру міністра закордонних прав Німеччини Франка-Вальтера Штайнмаєра на пост президента ФРН підтримують 82% німців, та навіть серед прихильників ультраправої партії "Альтернатива для Німеччини" 67% опитаних вважають його гідним кандидатом.

Про це йдеться в результатах опитування, проведеного ARD та Die Welt.

Результати опитування свідчать про величезну підтримку серед громадян Німеччини: лише 12% не вважають Штайнмаєра  "хорошим кандидатом" на пост президента країни.

Повідомляється, що серед прихильників союзу ХДС/ХСС його підтримують 94% опитаних, а серед СДПН - 93%.

Корім того, 88% прихильників ВДП (Вільної Демократичної Партії Німеччини) та 78% прихильників "Зелених" також вважають його гідним кандидатом. 

Згідно з опитуванням, навіть серед прихильників ультраправої партії "Альтернатива для Німеччини" 67% німців підтримують його кандидатуру на пост президента ФРН.
