Конституційний суд Австрії скасував результати президентських виборів через порушення процедури підрахунку виборчих бюлетенів в окремих округах.

Про це йдеться в рішенні суду, повідомляє Європейська правда

Зокрема мова йде про те, що у низці округів "поштові" бюлетені почали підраховувати в день виборів, в той час як, згідно із законодавством, це потрібно було робити не раніше 9.00 наступного дня.

Як відзначає видання, до винесення остаточного рішення, Конституційний суд провів публічні інтерв'ю з 67 свідками порушень.

Як пише The Politico, співробітники місцевих виборчих комісій із районів підтвердили протягом декількох днів слухань у суді, що вони порушили правила в цілях економії часу.

Варто зауважити, що саме голосування поштою забезпечило перемогу Александера ван дер Беллена з розривом менше ніж 31 тисячу голосів.

Суперником ван дер Беллена був ультраправий проросійський кандидат Норберт Хофер.

Нагадаємо, раніше повідомлялося, що в п'ятницю Конституційний суд Австрії визнав недійсними результати президентських виборів.
