Издание "Новая газета" по требованию Роскомнадзора удалило материал "Смерть от коронавируса - меньшее зло", в котором шла речь о критической ситуации с коронавирусом в Чечне.

Так, заблокировать статью потребовала Генпрокуратура России, найдя в ней "недостоверную общественно значимую информацию, распространяемую под видом достоверных сообщений, которая создает угрозу причинения вреда жизни и здоровью граждан, имуществу, угрозу массового нарушения общественного порядка или общественной безопасности".

В статье журналистки Елены Милашиной иллюстрируется ситуация с эпидемией коронавируса в Чечне. В ней "рассказывается о том, что врачам не хватает средств защиты, а местные власти проводят массовые задержания за нарушение режима самоизоляции".

Статья вызвала недовольство главы Чечни Рамзана Кадырова. "До каких пор будет продолжаться провокационная и взрывоопасная античеченская травля, нагло и бессовестно устроенная изданием "Новая газета"? - написал Кадыров, обратившись за помощью к "могучей цитадели нашего суверенитета", как он назвал ФСБ. Дальнейшие выступления Кадырова в "Новой газете" расценили как угрозы Милашиной.
