Роскомнадзор на официальном сайте сообщил о вынесенном «Новой газете» предупреждении.

Поводом послужила нецензурная брань, выявленная ведомством в материале «Япономорцы, или Жизнь в прибойной полосе», опубликованном в номере от 10 июля. Текст, привлекший внимание Роскомнадзора, представляет собой отрывок из книги прозаика Василия Авченко «Кристалл в прозрачной оправе».

«Новая газета» получила второе предупреждение за год, из-за чего надзорный орган может потребовать через суд отозвать лицензию у издания. В октябре 2014 года Роскомнадзор нашел признаки экстремизма в статье Юлии Латыниной «Если мы не Запад, то кто мы?».

В 2010 году «Новая газета» получила предупреждение за статью «Банда, агентство, партия. Кто такие "легальные националисты"».
