Новий посол США в Україні Марі Йованович записала привітальне звернення до українців. Відео оприлюднене на каналі Youtube посольства США.
 
"Мені дуже приємно повернутися в Україну. Мені дуже подобалося жити і працювати в Україні. І зараз я з нетерпінням чекаю можливості подорожувати по ній і пізнавати всі її куточки разом з моїм собакою, зустрітися зі старими друзями і знайти нових і з'їсти цілу миску справжніх українських вареників", - заявила Йованович.
 
Вона також повідомила. що разом з нею в Україну прибуде її 88-річна мама.
 
Новий посол США висловила підтримку суверенітету України.
 
"Ми здалеку спостерігали за великими досягненнями України протягом останніх двох років. Але зробити треба ще багато. І я сподіваюся працювати разом з вами, щоб підтримувати суверенну територіальну цілісність, демократичну і заможну Україну. Слава Україні!" - зазначила вона.
