Amazon транслюватиме нове шоу екс-ведучих Top Gear - The Grand Tour - в 200 країнах.

Нове шоу покриватиме майже таку ж аудиторію, яка була у Top Gear на ВВС, відзначає Media Sapiens з посиланням на  The Guardian.

Перший епізод шоу стане доступним для перегляду або завантаження в мережі Amazon для преміум-підписників вже завтра, 18 листопада. Міжнародна прем'єра The Grand Tour  охопить навіть ті країни, в яких раніше було заборонено Top Gear, зокрема Аргентину.

Плани розширити географію трансляції шоу стали несподіванкою, оскільки Amazon Prime (сервіс для преміум-підписників) доступний лише в 10 країнах. «Схоже, що Amazon прагне "відбити" £ 160 мільйонів за три роки, які вони вклали у шоу», - пише британська газета. За приблизними оцінками, вартість зйомок першого епізоду становить близько £2,5 мільйона.

В одному з інтерв'ю Джей Марін (Jay Marine), топ-менеджер європейського підрозділу Amazon, сказав: «Чим більше ми працюємо з цими хлопцями, тим більше вони нам подобаються. Чи це дорого шоу? Ще б пак. Чи воно того варте? Ще б пак!» 

Як повідомляв MediaSapiens, в рамках першого договору, підписаного компанією Amazon з колишньою командою Top Gear, буде знято 36 серій, які вийдуть на інтернет-сервісі Amazon Prime.

Про те, що нове шоу Кларксона, Хаммонда і Мея виходитиме на Amazon стало відомо у минулому році. 

У 2015 році екс-ведучого Top Gear Джеремі Кларксона спочатку відсторонили від роботи, а потім звільнили за наслідками службового розслідування після сутички ведучого з продюсером у готелі.
