Представитель Beiersdorf AG, владельца немецкого бренда, принес извинения, отметив, что у компании не было намерения обидеть покупателей. «Мы признаем право каждого покупателя выбирать продукты согласно их личных предпочтений, и мы предоставляем им ассортимент качественных продуктов по уходу за кожей». Несколько недель тому назад в расизме обвинили другой косметический бренд Dove за рекламу, в которой темнокожая женщина снимала с себя футболку и под ней оказывалась девушка с белой кожей. Правда, модель рекламы Dove Лола Огунеми вступилась за бренд, отметив, что реклама представляла разнообразие.
