У Китаї влада заблокувала функцію відправки повідомлень в месенджері WhatsApp, повідомили ряд експертів з безпеки, передає Новое время со ссилкой на The New York Times.

"Це нетиповий метод цензури, до якого вдається уряд", - наводить газета слова фахівця з криптографії Надіма Кобеіссі.

За його словами, за останні кілька місяців у WhatsApp в Китаї були короткі збої у функціонуванні, під час яких користувачі не могли відправляти відео або фотографії. Тепер повністю блокуються і всі текстові повідомлення.

"Схоже, що ті явища, які ми спочатку відзначали як обмеження можливості ділитися фото, відео і голосовими замітками в WhatsApp в липні, тепер перетворилися в повне блокування і регулювання текстових повідомлень по всій території Китаю", - сказав Кобеіссі.

Нагадаємо, 19 липня в Китаї частково заблокували жителям країни доступ до месенджерWhatsApp.

Відзначимо, що WhatsApp належить соцмережі Facebook, яка заблокована в Китаї з 2009 року. У 2014 році влада країни закрила доступ до ще одного сервісу компанії - Instagram.
