Фракція "Народний фронт" підтримуватиме кандидатуру лідера фракції БПП Юрія Луценка на посаду генерального прокурора.
 

Про це заявив народний депутат "Народного фронту" Антон Геращенко, повідомляється на офіційному сайті фракції.

Він нагадав, що сьогодні кандидатуру майбутнього очільника ГПУ обговорюватимуть на нараді Комітету Ради з питань законодавчого забезпечення правоохоронної діяльності.

"Фракція "Народний фронт" визначилася, що підтримуватиме на посаду Генерального прокурора України Юрія Луценка, але за умови, що він матиме чіткі повноваження та буде обмежений у використанні своєї посади заради недопущення політичних переслідувань", - наголосив Геращенко.

Він додав, що, відповідно до Конституції, саме президент пропонує кандидатів на посади голови ГПУ, але це не означає, що уряд не може вплинути на це рішення. Зрештою, у Кабміні можуть підтримати кандидата, або ж не погодитися з таким вибором президента.

"В умовах, у яких зараз перебуває Україна, президентові важко знайти кандидатуру, яка б не викликала протиріч у парламенті", - підсумував Геращенко.
