Народні депутати внесли законопроект «Про внесення змін до деяких законодавчих актів України щодо обмеження передвиборної агітації та протидії прихованій рекламі».
За агітацію та приховану рекламу ЗМІ мають заплатити від 1700 до 4250 гривень штрафу, а також хочуть притягти до відповідальності і авторів джинси – партії та кандидатів, але от штрафи на них накласти доволі символічні – від 510 до 850 гривень.
У Кодексі України про адміністративні правопорушення пропонуються внести положення про штрафи для ЗМІ за приховану рекламу (джинсу): «Розповсюдження в засобах масової інформації реклами, яка не ідентифікована як така відповідно до вимог законодавства, зокрема під виглядом інформаційних, новинних матеріалів – тягне за собою накладення штрафу на посадових осіб редакції або телерадіоорганізації – від ста до двохсот п'ятдесяти неоподатковуваних мінімумів доходів громадян».
