Британська телерадіомовна корпорація BBC оприлюднила список BBC 100 Women 2023 до якого увійшли впливові жінки. Серед них три українки.

До списку 100 жінок року потрапили:

  • Оксана Забужко — письменниця, лауреатка багатьох премій, книги та статі якої перекладено понад 20 мовами.
  • Олена Розвадовська — співзасновниця благодійної організації Голоси дітей, яка надає психологічну допомогу дітям, що отримали травми внаслідок війни.
  • Ірина Ставчук — експертка з клімату, займається розробкою екологічно та кліматично стійких рішеннь для післявоєнного відновлення України.
     

    Серед інших відомих жінок, у BBC 100 Women 2023 згадали про колишню першу леді США, адвокатку Мішель Обаму, футболістку та володарку Золотого м’яча Айтану Бонматі, голлівудську акторку Америку Ферреру та інших.

    До списку потрапили письменниці, екоактивістки, вчителі, науковці, черниці, борці за права корінних народів, жінок, дітей та біженців.

    У BBC 100 Women 2023 відзначили діяльність жінок з усього світу. Незважаючи на те, що вже майже два роки Росія веде жорстоку війну проти України, до списку увійшли дві росіянки — пожежниця Софія Косачова та координаторка Феміністичного антивоєнного опору Дар’я Серенко.
