5 сентября ЦИК зарегистрировал кандидатом в народные депутаты по 106 мажоритарному округу (Луганская область) Сергея Александровича Шахова. Кандидат является уроженцем Полтавской области и членом партии "Украина-вперед".
По этому же округу ранее изъявил желание баллотироваться лидер общественной организации "Народное доверие", стаховчанин Сергей Владимирович Шахов. Он является политическим оппонентом местных "регионалов" и именно с этим связывают появление двойника на округе.
Как сообщает издание, нынешние события являются попыткой повторить результаты 2012 года, когда таким образом тогдашний победитель мажоритарного округа Алексей Кунченко "зачистил" округ для "регионалов" от нежелательного соперника.
