Російська ЦВК повідомила про рекордно низьку явку виборців, - загалом по країні вона склала близько 29 %.

Міністерство внутрішніх справ Росії запевняє, що вибори пройшли спокійно. Спостерігачі на виборчих ділянках в більшості регіонів протягом дня повідомили про порушення – спроби купівлі виборців, незаконну агітацію на ділянках, затримання кандидатів, спостерігачів та членів виборчих комісій. Висока явка традиційно відзначається на виборчих ділянках в СІЗО та психіатричних лікарнях.

У Москві офіційна явка на виборах склала трохи більше 12%. Щоправда, рекордно високий у порівнянні з попередніми роками, був процент людей, які голосували вдома. Спостерігачі стверджують, що таким чином влада намагалася фальсифікувати результати волевиявлення.
