Зазначимо, monobank - роздрібний продукт АТ Універсал Банк (входить до групи ТАС бізнесмена Сергія Тігіпка), який виник в рамках співпраці з командою Fintech Band. Її створили колишні топ-менеджери ПриватБанку Дмитро Дубілет (зараз - міністр Кабміну), Олег Гороховський і Михайло Рогальський.

monobank позиціонує себе як перший в Україні мобільний банк без відділень. Проект генерує основний прибуток Універсал Банку. За перші три квартали 2019 року він збільшився в 15 разів - до 510,2 млн грн.
