Информационные бюро Совета министров северных стран в Петербурге и Калининграде, а также контактные центры в Мурманске, Петрозаводске и Архангельске закрываются на неопределенное время.

Министры по вопросам северного сотрудничества проголосовали за закрытие в связи с тем, что власти РФ потребовали внести указанные организации в список "иностранных агентов".

"На данный момент у нас нет возможности действовать здесь. Правительства Северных стран не могут продолжить деятельность под статусом "иностранного агента"", — заявил министр по вопросам северного сотрудничества Дании Карстен Хансен, передает rosbalt.ru

Информбюро играют важную роль, в частности в области сотрудничества в сфере культуры. Представительства Совета министров Северных стран осуществляют сотрудничества, как с российскими властями, так и с представителями гражданских организаций.

Головной офис совета находится в Копенгагене и получает финансирование от Дании, Исландии, Норвегии, Финляндии, Швеции, Фарерских островов, Гренландии и Аландских островов.
