Міжнародна федерація журналістів (МФЖ) оголосила глобальну відео-кампанію, мета якої – висвітлити проблеми преси з різних країн планети.
Кампанія триватиме з 27 квітня до 3 травня. Щоденно будуть публікуватися відео, кожне з яких розкаже про ситуацію зі свободою преси у різних країнах,повідомляє Media Sapiens
Першим до своїх колег зі світової медійної спільноти звернувся французький журналіст і громадський діяч Олів’є да Лаж (Olivier Da Lage). Він – відомий міжнародний репортер, автор низки книг і численних статей, присвячених Близькому Сходу та Аравійському півострову. Олів’є да Лаж – член виконавчих комітетів МФЖ та французького Національного синдикату журналістів (SNJ).
МФЖ – найчисельніша у світі організація професійних працівників ЗМІ зі штаб-квартирою у Брюсселі. Вона об’єднує 600 тис. медійників 134 країн. Її повноправними членами є Національна спілка журналістів України та Незалежна медіа-профспілка України.
Нагадаємо, Всесвітній день свободи преси проголосила 1993 року Генеральна Асамблея ООН. Його мета - підвищити усвідомлення міжнародною спільнотою важливої ролі вільних медіа у демократичному розвитку суспільства й нагадати урядам про їхній обов’язок поважати та підтримувати право на свободу слова.
