 За рік Meta запустила в Європі щонайменше 3316 відвертих рекламних оголошень, охопивши до 8 млн користувачів

 Про це йдеться у звіті, опублікованому європейською некомерційною дослідницькою групою AI Forensics, пише The Washington Post. Рекламні оголошення, багато з яких зображають сексуальні акти, показували переважно чоловікам старше 44 років, завдяки системам таргетингу компанії.

 Коли дослідники спробували опублікувати ті ж самі зображення і відео у Facebook та Instagram, їх швидко видалили. Це свідчить про те, що компанія не застосовує до рекламодавців ті самі системи модерації, що й до звичайних користувачів, вважає Пол Бушо, провідний науковий співробітник AI Forensics. Дослідники кажуть, що це свідчить про "подвійні стандарти", за якими Meta заробляє на матеріалах, які заборонені її політикою, і ставить під сумнів дотримання компанією європейських норм.

Процес перевірки реклами в компанії вже перебуває під пильною увагою Європейської комісії.
