Местные выборы в Украине должны обновить региональные элиты, заявляет президент Украины Петр Порошенко.

"Местные выборы завершат процесс перезагрузки власти: президентские, парламентские и, наконец, местные выборы должны полностью перезагрузить власть в Украине, обновить региональные элиты", - сказал П.Порошенко на пресс-конференции в пятницу.

По его словам, они должны быть проведены по самым высоким демократическим стандартам и стать образцом свободного волеизъявления граждан.

При этом П.Порошенко призвал "не допустить реванша промосковских политических сил, не дать возможность формировать им пятую колонну своих представителей в органах местного самоуправления".

Президент пояснил, что объявление элит необходимо в связи с проведением кардинальных изменений в стране. "В Киеве бушуют бури, проходят революции, меняются президенты, правительства, парламенты, а на местах, к сожалению, болотная гладь", - сказал он, добавив, что из-за отсутствия изменений на местах не видно результатов проводимых реформ.

П.Порошенко также подчеркнул, что расширение полномочий местных общин требует ответственного отношения к избранным органам местного самоуправления и обратился к региональным СМИ с просьбой донести эту информацию.
