Кандидат від євроскептичного руху "П'ять Зірок" Вірджінія Раджі стала новим мером столиці Італії.

Як відзначає агентство, Раджі виграла другий тур виборів, отримавши 67.2% голосів.

 

Натомість її супротивник, представник правлячої Демократичної партії, Роберто Джакетті отримав всього 32,8%.

Варто зауважити, що євроскептичний рух також виграв вибори мера в Туріні, де його представник, Кьяра Аппендіно отримала 54,5% голосів виборців.

Рух "П'ять Зірок" був заснований популярним коміком Беппе Грілло і підприємцем Джанроберто Касаледжо в 2009 році.

Для риторики руху характерний популізм і євроскептицизм. Лідери руху виступають за вихід Італії з єврозони і проти програм економії. Крім того, рух "П'ять Зірок" виступає за скасування санкцій проти РФ.

У лютому 2013 року "П'ять Зірок" став головною сенсацією парламентських виборів в Італії, зайнявши третє місце з більш ніж 25 % підтримки.
