Депутати Бундестагу від Християнсько-демократичної партії Карл-Георг Феллман та Сільвія Пантел оголосили, що висувають керівника ХДС, канцлера Ангелу Меркель на Нобелевську премію миру.

Про це повідомляє видання Augsburger Allgemeine, яке посилається на заяву депутатів,пише Українська правда

У повідомленні, яке опубліковане у недільному виданні Bild am Sonntag, депутати уточнюють, що причиною номінації є зусилля Меркель з досягнення миру в Україні. Зокрема, вони вважають "величезним успіхом" підписання другої мінської угоди за участі Меркель та французького президента Франсуа Олланда.

Відповідно до правил Нобелевського комітету, парламентарі мають право подавати своїх кандидатів на відзначення Нобелевською премією миру.

"Німецька хвиля" нагадує, що востаннє громадянин Німеччини отримував цю премію в 1971 році – тоді її також вручили канцлеру ФРН, Віллі Брандту.

Мотивом для його нагородження був внесок німецького керівника у "послаблення напруженості між Сходом і Заходом".
