В офіційній заяві  Meduza, опублікованій в інстаграмі, редакція вибачилася перед тими, кого могла зачепити ця ситуація, та визнала, що у відео були використані зображення українців без їхнього дозволу.

«Кампанія була розроблена на безоплатній основі берлінською агенцією Lure. Вона розповідає про зусилля Кремля, спрямовані на те, щоб змусити нашу редакцію замовкнути. Також у кампанії використовувалися фото- та відеоматеріали, зняті в Україні під час війни»
