Издание «Медуза» запустило собственную студию документального кино «Черный флаг». Об этом 30 апреля в колонке на «Медузе» объявил главный редактор ресурса Иван Колпаков.

По его словам, придумывая название для студии, редакция вдохновлялась временами, когда «Медуза» только появилась на свет и считала себя «маленьким пиратским кораблем». Идеологом новой студии стал Сергей Ерженков, бывший журналист «Недели» с Марианной Максимовской и телеканала «Дождь».

Первый фильм «Черного флага» – о новоизбранном президенте Украины Владимире Зеленском – выйдет в мае 2019 года. Над его созданием работают Сергей Ерженков и спецкор «Медузы» Илья Жегулев. Детали фильма не сообщаются.

Отметим также, в марте в «Медузе» появился отдел расследований. Его возглавил бывший главный редактор российского издания «Кода», основатель «Лапшеснималочной» Алексей Ковалев.
