McDonald’s в Іспанії вирішив вшанувати фермерів і власників ранчо, окреміі з яких є невід’ємною частиною ланцюжка поставок мережі ресторанів, створивши символічний бургер.

Загалом за 1 євро клієнти зможуть замовити неіснуючий гамбургер «Hamburger That Could Not Be» у ресторанах McDonald’s протягом наступних трьох тижнів. Замість того, щоб годувати відвідувачів, цю суму буде використано для допомоги сільськогосподарським робітникам.

Гамбургер представлений у коробці вугільно-чорного кольору, зовсім не схожої на веселу та звичну упаковку мережі. «Hamburger That Could Not Be» має брендинг Big Good, гуманітарної ініціативи, яку продить McDonald’s в Іспанії, і яка була створена для допомоги сільським господарствам, які постраждали від COVID-19.

Крім того, McDonald’s пожертвував ще 50 тисяс євро (49 700 доларів) на комбікормовий завод Cobadu.

«Як компанія, наш обов’язок бути ближче до спільнот, яким ми служимо, тим більше у важкі часи, подібні до сьогодні», — каже президент McDonald’s в Іспанії Луїс Кінтіліано. «Я також хочу звернутися до всіх наших клієнтів та суспільства загалом із закликом приєднатися до цього руху».
