Главный прокурор Грузии Ираклий Шотадзе ушел в отставку в связи с массовыми протестами в стране.

Об этом сообщает Грузия Online.

31 мая на улицы Тбилиси вышли на протест против несправедливого, по их мнению, расследование убийства в декабря 2017 году двух мальчиков-подростков.

Участники протеста требовали отставки правительства и генерального прокурора.

"Так как хочу, чтоб вы верили в то, что я говорю, я покидаю должность и уверен, что правосудие по этому делу будет полностью достигнуто", - отметил Шотадзе.

Ранее премьер-министр Грузии Георгий Квирикашвили заявил о том, что не будет выполнять требование протестующих и уходить в отставку.
