Еще четыре года назад в бельгийском отеле Charleroi одиноким клиентам начали предлагать необычную услугу, отмечает Mashable. Если постоялец путешествует один, он может арендовать в отеле рыбу, которая скрасит его одиночество.

Необычный маркетинговый ход заметила digital producer из Новой Зеландии Мишель Кук, сообщив на своей странице в Twitter, что ее остановившемуся в этом отеле другу предложили такую услугу. После чего сообщение стало набирать вирусную популярность, причем наряду с восхищенными комментариями высказывались и опасения за здоровье рыбы, которую сдают в аренду. Сотрудники отеля успокоили пользователей, сообщив, что за состоянием рыбы ведется тщательное наблюдение, периодически она помещается в помещение с повышенным содержанием кислорода. К тому же, добавили они, если бы она чувствовала себя плохо, ей не удалось бы прожить четыре года - именно такое время отель предоставляет эту услугу. Кстати, стоит рыбье общество 3,5 евро за ночь.

Примечательно, что изначально, в 2013 году, акция была придумана для завоевания популярности в соцсетях. И наконец маркетинговый ход сработал, и о бельгийском отеле узнал весь мир.
