Бывший менеджер президентской кампании Дональда Трампа Пол Манафорт сегодня сдастся спецпрокурору США Роберту Мюллеру.

Об этом сообщает телеканал CNN со ссылкой на источник, имеющий информацию по этому поврсу, пишет LB.ua

По словам источника, обвинения Манафорту были негласно предъявлены еще в минувшую пятницу, и теперь он планирует сдаться. 

Ожидается, что сегодня обвинения будут оглашены.

Как сообщает The New York Times со ссылкой на осведомленный источник, близкий к расследованию, вместе сМанафортом обвинения будут предъявлены и его деловому партнеру Рику Гейтсу.

В чем именно обвиняется Манафорт, пока неясно. Ранее сообщалось, что специальная комиссия по расследованию российского вмешательства в выборы президента США предполагает, что Манафорт мог уклоняться от уплаты налогов, а также скрывать, что оказывал лоббистские услуги иностранным клиентам.

Ранее сегодня сообщалось, ФБР нашло подозрительные переводы Манафорта. 

25 октября манхэттенская прокуратура сообщила, что в отношении Манафорта было открыто новое расследование в связи с отмыванием денег. Сам он все подозрения в свой адрес отвергал.

Манафорт возглавил избирательную кампанию Трампа в мае 2016 года, однако был вынужден покинуть свой пост после сообщений о его тесной связи с бывшим президентом Украины Виктором Януковичем, которому помогал на выборах.
