Еммануель Макрон, який отримав перемогу на президентських виборах у Франції, ввечері в неділю, 7 травня, виступив перед своїми прихильниками на площі біля музею Лувр в Парижі.

Він піднявся на трибуну під звуки гімну Європи і подякував своїм прихильникам за підтримку.

"Наше завдання величезне. Це потребує від нас створення, починаючи з завтрашнього дня, реальної сильної більшості. Ця більшість повинна провести зміни, на які сподівається країна і яких вона заслуговує", - заявив Макрон.

Політик пообіцяв служити Франції і бути вірним принципам "свободи, рівності і братерства". Макрон додав, що зараз стоїть завдання відновити єдність Європи, зміцнити економіку і забезпечити безпеку громадян.

"За п'ять років я зроблю все можливе, щоб у людей більше не було ніяких причин голосувати за екстремальні варіанти", - сказав він.

Макрон також закликав не освистувати прихильників Марін Ле Пен і зазначив, що ті, хто голосував за неї "висловлювали почуття гніву, безпорадності, а іноді - переконання".
