Слова президента Владимира Путина о связи немецкой газеты Suddeutsche Zeitung с американским банком Goldman Sachs стали следствием ошибки тех, кто готовил президенту справочные материалы, заявил пресс-секретарь главы государства Дмитрий Песков.

"Это, скорее, наша ошибка, скорее, моя ошибка, тех, кто готовил на этот счет справочные бумаги. Там действительно была непроверенная информация, лишний раз не перепроверили и предоставили ее президенту в части собственников Suddeutsche Zeitung", - сказал он журналистам.

"Мы приносим свои извинения изданию", - продолжил Песков.

Так он ответил на вопрос журналистов о том, как можно объяснить сделанное во время "прямой линии" заявление Путина о том, что данное издание связано с американским банком Goldman Sachs.

Американский инвестбанк был упомянут в связи с публикацией "панамского досье". Путин напомнил, что одной из первых написала о нем немецкая Suddeutsche Zeitung и заявил, что она принадлежит холдингу, входящему в структуры американского Goldman Sachs.

"Отовсюду торчат уши западных заказчиков", - резюмировал президент.
