2 января Конституционный суд Молдовы временно прекратил полномочия президента страны Игоря Додона по запросу группы депутатов от правящей коалиции. Об этом сообщает местное издание Realitatea.md.
Решение принято в связи с тем, что Додон повторно отклонил предложенные премьер-министром кандидатуры пяти министров и двух вице-премьеров. Согласно законодательству, президент имеет право отклонять кандидатуры только один раз.
Обязанности президента временно перешли к председателю парламента или премьер-министру. В ближайшие дни один из них должен подписать указы о назначении новых членов правительства.
28 декабря депутаты обратились в Конституционный суд с требованием констатировать обстоятельства, при которых необходимо временное отстранение действующего президента от его обязанностей.
Социалист Додон победил на президентских выборах в Молдове 13 ноября 2016 года. Его инаугурация прошла 24 декабря.
21 сентября 2017 года в парламенте Молдовы начали сбор подписей под законопроектом о начале процедуры отстранения Додона от должности.
