Відомі українські бізнесмени Ігор Коломойський та Генадій Боголюбов отримали громадянство Кіпру в обмін на інвестиції в цю країну.

Про це повідомляє Українська правда із посиланням на видання The Guardian.

Так, за інформацією речника Коломойського, той отримав паспорт Кіпру, "враховуючи його значні інвестиції в цю країну".

Адвокат, що представляє інтереси Боголюбова, повідомив те саме про свого клієнта. За його словами, Боголюбов отримав громадянство Кіпру у 2010 році "в обмін на значні інвестиції в країну (через певні компанії), і це повністю відповідало вимогам законодавства на той час".

Як повідомлялося, у своїй попередній статті The Guardian писав, що сотні звинувачуваних у корупції олігархів з України і Росії отримали паспорти ЄС за так званою схемою "золотих віз". Кіпр, зокрема, починаючи з 2013 року, заробив понад 4 мільярди євро, надаючи громадянство дуже багатим людям.
