Популярну гру визнали занадто небезпечною для життя громадян, повідомляє Новое время з посиланням на Reuters.

У цій грі гравці повинні ходити навколо реальних об'єктів, щоб полювати на віртуальних персонажів мультфільму на екранах смартфонів. Для цього гра використовує дані геолокації від сервісу Google Maps які в Китаї заборонені. Через дані заборонили і саму гру.

Небезпечні ризики, на думку влади КНР, включають в себе "загрозу безпеці географічної інформації, а також транспортної та особистої безпеки споживачів". Наприклад, були зафіксовані випадки, коли через Pokemon Go гравці потрапляли в ДТП.

Pokemon Go – онлайн-гра з доповненою реальністю для смартфонів на базі iOS і Android. Вона вперше стала доступна в США, Австралії і Нової Зеландії 6 липня. У перші кілька днів свого існування гра наздогнала за популярністю соціальні мережі Twitter і Facebook.
