Кеті Перрі опублікувала свій перший твіт в лютому 2009 року і з тих пір написала їх понад 8 тис. На сторінці артистки з'явився пост від адміністрації сайту мікроблогів.

Керівництво Twitter у своєму привітанні використало гру слів: "Свідок" ("Witness") - назва нового альбому Кеті Перрі, який вийшов у червні.

На другому місці по числі підписників опинився канадський співак Джастін Бібер. Його сторінку читають майже 98 млн осіб.

На третьому місці - колишній президент США Барак Обама, у нього 91 млн фоловерів.
