Влада Індії звинуватила корпорацію Google у зловживанні домінантним становищем у сегменті загального онлайн-пошуку і пошуку рекламних послуг у країні. Про це йдеться в повідомленні Комісії із захисту конкуренції Індії (CCI), пише Прайм.
 
Як зазначається, регулятор за підсумками перевірки зобов'язав американську компанію сплатити штраф у розмірі 1,36 мільярда рупій (21 млн доларів).
 
За даними CCI, пошуковик Google у країні видавав результати пошукових запитів таким чином, щоб збільшувати відвідуваність власних сервісів. Зокрема, мова йде про сервіс Google Flight.
 
"Визнано, що Google застосовувала практику спотворення пошуку, що завдає шкоди як конкурентам компанії, так і користувачам", - додав регулятор.
