Влада ЄС може накласти штраф на компанії Facebook, Twitter і Google за порушення прав користувачів.

В ЄС вимагають від інтернет-гігантів змінити угоди про користування соцмережами, оскільки вони порушують встановлені в Європі права користувачів.

Листи з попередженнями були направлені керівництву компаній ще у грудні. У числі претензій була вимога передбачити розгляд позовів користувачів в судах Каліфорнії, де зареєстровані компанії.

Крім того, в ЄС вимагають змінити підхід компаній до спонсорського контенту і передбачити право споживачів розірвати угоду про користування соцмережами.

Як повідомило джерело, цього тижня представники компаній обговорили висунуті умови з профільними відомствами ЄС.

Протягом місяця Facebook, Twitter і Google мають змінити умови використання соціальних мереж. В іншому випадку, на них буде накладено штраф.

Раніше MediaSapiens писав про те, що ініціативна група Open Internet Project (OIP) подала в Єврокомісію нову скаргу проти Google. У ній йдеться про те, що Google в черговий раз в порушує антимонопольні правила ЄС, зловживає домінуючим становищем та вводить обмеження на виробників Android пристроїв і операторів мобільного зв'язку, з метою зберегти і зміцнити своє головування в інтернет-пошуці.
