Хорватія проведе президентські вибори 22 грудня, заявив прем'єр-міністр Андрей Пленкович у четвер.

Про це повідомляє "Європейська правда" з посиланням на Reuters.

Суперниками на виборах стануть кандидатка від владного правоцентристського Хорватського демократичного союзу (HDZ) Колінда Грабар-Кітарович (яка є нинішньою лідеркою Хорватії) та кандидат від соціал-демократів, колишній прем'єр-міністр Зоран Міланович. Два незалежних кандидати також мають міцну підтримку в опитуваннях.

Посада президента багато в чому є церемоніальною. Президент не може ветувати закони, але має слово у зовнішній політиці та обороні.

Згідно з останнім опитуванням, у першому турі голосування Грабар-Кітарович може очікувати підтримки приблизно 29% виборців, а Міланович - другий з 24%.

Мирослав Скоро, популярний співак, який сприймається кандидатом від правих націоналістичних консерваторів, посідає третє місце із 17%, а колишній суддя Міслав Колакушич отримав 14%.

Якщо ніхто не виграє в першому турі, другий тур відбудеться 5 січня 2020 року.

Результати президентських виборів також будуть ознакою настроїв серед виборців перед парламентськими виборами, які мають відбутися наприкінці 2020 року.
