Представники Головної прокуратури Грузії звернулися до компетентних органів Польщі в зв’язку з візитом екс-президента Грузії Міхеїла Саакашвілі, якого нещодавно позбавили українського громадянства, інформує Новое время.

У прес-службі грузинської прокуратури зазначили, що окрім офіційного звернення до польської влади, вони розпочали «процедури, які відповідають нормам національного законодавства». Щоправда, про які саме кроки йде мова, у Головній прокуратурі Грузії не повідомили. Слід зазначити, що напередодні в ЗМІ з’явилася інформація про те, що в п’ятницю, 4 серпня, Міхеїл Саакашвілі прибув зі Сполучених Штатів Америки до Польщі, де він взяв участь в урочистих заходах з нагоди річниця з дня Варшавського повстання проти нацизму. 

Ця поїздка політика стала для нього першою після того, як його було позбавлено українського громадянства, коли він перебував з особистим візитом на території США. При цьому раніше у Києві зазначали, що український внутрішній паспорт, а також закордонний паспорт Саакашвілі вже не є дійсними.
