В Греції ЗМІ оголосили дводенний страйк. Він почався сьогодні, 24 жовтня, о 06:00 і триватиме до 06:00 26 жовтня. Про це повідомляють Українські новини із посиланням на грецький сайт Protothema.

Журналісти протестують за "порятунок Єдиної журналістської організації додаткового страхування і допомоги EDOEAP", яка дозволяє співробітникам преси отримувати додаткові пенсії та медичну допомогу.

Профспілки вимагають зберегти систему додаткового соціального страхування, припинити порушення трудових і соціальних прав працівників засобів масової інформації. Працівники преси також вимагають свободи друку.

Журналістське об'єднання ESIEA заявило: "Ми вимагаємо не привілеїв, а рівноправності в ЗМІ. Ми не намагаємося отримати спеціальну медичну допомогу, ми за справедливу допомогу. Ми хочемо такої ж підтримки та фармацевтичної допомоги, як і всі інші працівники. Ми щосили намагаємося продовжити роботу EDOEPA, але це складно без допомоги держави. Ми хочемо законодавче врегулювання цього питання. Нинішній стан справ не залишає нам іншого вибору, окрім як продовжувати страйки".

Під час страйку популярні грецькі ЗМІ та телеканали не будуть випускати новин. Це вже третій страйк за останні 30 днів.
